In
the Cilento and Vallo Di Diano National Park at Trentinara,
close to the famous centre of Paestum, is situated the Paestum
farm holiday centre. Set in the enchanting natural surroundings
of the park, at 600 m. above sea level, Paestum, girdled by
centuries-old chestnut trees, has a fortunate geographical
position, allowing guests to enjoy the healthy and refreshing
mountain air and at the same time being within easy reach
of the sea and of the Paestum
archaeological area.

The
farm holiday centre has nine rooms equipped with every convenience:
en-suite bathroom, television and telephone. The restaurant
is excellent, serving the typical food of the Cilento area,
always appreciated for the simplicity and wholesomeness of
its ingredients. The local produce includes the wine, olive
oil, preserves and pressed pork meats, many of them grown
organically directly on the farm.

On
the farm at different times of the year - according to a calendar
based on normal natural cycles - guests can also observe and
participate in various activities, including the grape harvest,
in September, gathering chestnuts in October, the precise
work of olive picking and the production of olive oil in November;
and finally, for the more courageous, the month of December
is dedicated to the traditional "mactatio" rite of pig slaughtering.
