Set
in greenery, situated right by the beach at Cariati Marina,
not far from the important centre of
Rossano,
is the Villaggio Vascellero. The touristic complex, offering
spacious, comfortable rooms and cosy two- and three-roomed
villas, all with verandas, colour TV, telephone, air-conditioning,
fridge and hairdryer also has many efficient facilities, including:
bar, air-conditioned restaurant, pizzeria on the beach, sun
terrace bar, market/bazaar, news kiosk, laundry/ironing area,

allowing the visitor to practise the most varied activities,
according to preference: in fact, there are a children's and
an adults swimming pool, the latter with hydromassage, tennis,
basketball, bowls and volleyball courts, five-a-side football
pitches, and in addition, canoeing, table-tennis, surfing
and swimming school. Free time can be spent in the film library,
discotheque and ballroom and there's the kid's club for little
guests; a stay in the Village is also enlivened by a staff
of competent, professional animators who organise entertaining
and cheerful evenings with games and contests among the guests.

Vascellero is located on one of the most extensive and beautiful
beaches on the Ionian coast of the Province of Cosenza, facing
a clear and fish-filled sea, that offers the possibility of
pleasant diving to discover the almost unexplored seabed.
Furthermore, its closeness to places of illustrious and millenary
history, such as
Rossano and
Crotone, with the deep green
Sila plateau, the
National Park of Calabria, and interesting and quaint
mountain centres, such as
San Giovanni in Fiore and
Longobucco, make the village a perfect departure point
for pleasant excursions into the fascinating Calabrian countryside.
